What?
We hope to make simple, low-cost training available to teachers of refugees, offering:
- Free attendance to teachers of refugees for all in-person, live events and training. We may request teachers pay for lunch and materials.
- Free online Story Listening training for beginning teachers. Instruction is appropriate for those with limited background or volunteer teachers: covering the basics of Comprehension-Based Teaching. More details are available upon request.
Where?
Trainings include:
- “Live” Events. Please contact us below to request free in-person training for larger groups in your community.
- Online. Private online forms allow small-group exchanges and forums for questioning and reflecting as you try out the method in your classroom. Groups are divided by language: English, French, and German.
Who?
This professional development is offered at no cost to volunteer teachers with priority to those serving refugee and displaced persons. If you are a paid teacher serving an under-served or under-developed community and you accept a lower salary as a consequence, you may also qualify.
